Release Notes :
Supplement Facts continues to offer some of the best in new emerging artists &
long-time talent, working closely with a powerhouse of producers aiming to make
music for you to dance, ponder, and ultimately...to love. Going from strength
to strength, the last release (Till von Sein’s epic „Sundowna“) managed to push
itself onto Beatport’s top 10 for over a week! With our next release, we
continue to set our aims high. Guy Gerber, label boss, returns into the fray
after his hugely successful "My Invisible Romance" long-player with his new
"Hate/Love E.P." featuring three tracks of equal beauty and brooding menace. The
title track, "Hate/Love" sounds like midnight in some deep, mysterious jungle;
the tropical percussion, laid back melody and vocals are sparsely interfered
with by stabs of Ruggero Deodato style horror synths...so the listener is never
too relaxed. The tongue-in-cheek titled, "Lost in You Like a Chinese Cookie,"
continues this theme, rolling along with its steady, underlying tribal beats and
sweet melody. Speckled with a few flourishes of hormonal synergy which lift the
track above the jungle canopy. Traveling deep into the night with "Stockholm
Syndrome," a fitting track for any late night/early morning sweat-shack.
Classic 909 drums mixed with the marauding bass, ever snarling, and growing to a
fantastic crescendo which satisfies in droves. As the summer draws tantalisingly
close and the excitement of the clubbing season reaches boiling point, the
Hate/Love E.P. radiates above the plethora of other releases to become an
essential addition to any DJ's repertoire. Guy Gerber has managed, once again,
to raise the bar and maintain the already strong reputation of his label. We
wait in anticipation for what Supplement Facts might churn out next...
